Click-N-Type

Click-N-Type provides a virtual alternative to using the keyboard. To type a message for example, you don’t have to press the keys on the keyboard – you have to click the letters on the virtual keyboard presented on your desktop. This sort of functionality comes in handy when a physical disability keeps you from typing on the keyboard, when you don’t want to type on the keyboard, or when there’s no keyboard connected to your computer.

There is nothing complicated about getting Click-N-Type up and running. It is a standard procedure that goes along like this: download an installer (a 1.3MB executable), run it, click through the instructions presented by a setup wizard. With the help of this setup wizard you will quickly install Click-N-Type on a PC powered by anything from Windows 95 up to Windows 7.

As expected from an application of this type, the interface looks like a keyboard. A floating, resizable window that displays a keyboard is what you will see. It must be said here that you can switch between several types of keyboards: normal keyboard, speed keyboard, user designed keyboards. It must also be mentioned that the application provides support for autoclick functionality, macros, and word prediction.
